The INTERCLEAN conference is returning to Prague. Professionals from the textile care industry will gather at the Stages Hotel Prague on 1 October. The key topics of the 29th edition will once again include sustainability, energy savings and technological innovation. The programme will also feature the presentation of new research into the textile care market in the Czech Republic. The event is organised by the Czech Association for Textile Care.
One of the world’s most widely attended conferences for textile care professionals is returning to Prague this year after being held in Olomouc. The 29th edition of the traditional INTERCLEAN conference will take place at the Stages Hotel Prague.
“One of the highlights of the event will be the presentation of a survey conducted among households in the Czech Republic. The research focused on laundry and textile care habits, the current use of professional laundry and dry-cleaning services, as well as their future potential,” says Jana Puškáčová, President of the Czech Association for Textile Care.
As in previous years, sustainability will be one of the conference’s key themes. The programme will include a discussion on the development of the first carbon footprint calculator for laundries and dry cleaners, which the Association is developing in cooperation with experts from Brno University of Technology. Christeyns, the conference’s main partner, will also present technological innovations related to sustainability.
“Christeyns will present its current approach to developing technologies for professional and industrial laundries under the ‘WOW – We Optimise Wisely’ concept. The key message is the comprehensive optimisation of the washing process, not only through laundry chemicals, but by integrating chemistry, dosing, process monitoring, water management and energy savings,” explains Denisa Havlenová, Director of the Laundry Technology Division at Christeyns.
Anonymous Support for Employees
In addition to its professional programme, the conference will feature a discussion about the anonymous counselling helpline operated by the non-profit organisation Dobrokruh. The Czech Association for Textile Care works with Dobrokruh to provide professional support to employees of its member companies who are facing difficult situations in their personal or working lives.
“Our support is comprehensive. We are not focused on simply dealing with enquiries as quickly as possible, but on providing genuine help without long waiting times. Employees in operational roles often have limited access to psychological or legal support, which is precisely why our cooperation with the Association makes sense,” says Marek Sýkora, Project Manager at the non-profit organisation Dobrokruh.
The evening programme will begin with a reception, followed by a performance by Janek Ledecký Band. Exceptional bar service will be provided by Marcel Jinoch, who previously worked as head bartender at, among other venues, the prestigious Manhattan restaurant Le Pavillon. His cocktails have been enjoyed by celebrities including Taylor Swift, Ivanka Trump and Brad Pitt. The event will be hosted by presenter and actress Veronika Kadeřábková.
